My 2020 Atherton Annual Campaign Fundraising Page

Christina Andres

Atherton YMCA has provided countless opportunities for growth and development into a cause-driven leader. I was first introduced into the Y through these spring break trips. I served on the Maui Medical Mission trip about two years ago. Through this trip, I found an inclusive community who made me feel at home. Since then, I have been involved as a camp mentor, student board treasurer, annual campaign chair, and now currently serving as student board president.

I had the opportunity to go on the Philippines service trip last year, serving the community on Malapascua Island in Cebu. Through this trip, I connected with the local community, secured my identity as a Pinay, and saw positive change happen in front of my own eyes. This year, because of my positive experience from my last trip, I decided to go on the Philippines trip again. I will be going to Dumaguete in Cebu to work with the non-profit organization Little Children of the Philippines, which focuses on supporting abused and neglected children.

Every dollar donated brings me closer to my goal. A donation to me is a donation for all! I appreciate your support and together we can make lasting change!
