Kaimuki YMCA, Here for Good!

Kennie Hirosumi
Hi Everyone! Welcome and thank you for stopping by! A little about myself: My name is Kennie and I have been with the Kaimuki YMCA for about 8 years now. I started as a volunteer Group Fitness instructor and now work as part of the membership team while still teaching classes.

Now, you may be asking yourself why I have been with the YMCA for 8 years? Let me tell you: as time went by, I began to see that the Y was more than just a place where members came to work out or take fitness classes. In our cozy little corner of the world, we also run programs for the youth, ranging from things like swim lessons to before and after school care for working parents. It really made me see just how much of a close knit community we have.

With the events of the past year, I realized exactly how important the Y is for everyone, myself included. The Y has been able to keep operations running, from providing meals to 22,828 children in need to quickly setting up an AMAZING Virtual Platform to offer fitness options to its members.

Now, more than ever, the YMCA could use your help to keep things running. All money raised will go towards helping families afford membership, children being able to attend swim lessons, and of course with all of the changes over the last year, your donation will be helping to keep the YMCA open to be able to assist the community for years to come.

Together, we can make a difference, so won't you please join me in donating to this amazing organization?
